Middle Dalmatia, Croatia

Middle Dalmatia is the largest situated on the coast of the Adriatic Sea and one of the warmest regions in Croatia. Therefore, the holidays in Middle Dalmatia enjoy such popularity. Middle Dalmatia begins from the picturesque and cosy town Primosten and ends in the town of Makarska. This region boasts excellent infrastructure and a wide range of entertainment, while fans of blissful peace and quiet will find cosy fishing villages and quiet empty beaches. Middle Dalmatia is a paradise for divers and a great place for people planning family holidays in Croatia by the sea with independent travel arrangements. Very clean turquoise waters, breathtaking landscapes, fascinating culture, beautiful beaches and bays are the main reasons to visit the city and the islands of Middle Dalmatia. The main towns in the region are Primosten, Trogir, Split (the regional capital), Omis and Baska Voda. The biggest and most interesting islands are Ciovo, Solta, Brac, Vis and Hvar. Holiday and vacations by the sea in Middle Dalmatia in Croatia are guaranteed with sun and fun.

Climate in Middle Dalmatia:
In Middle Dalmatia there is a warm Mediterranean climate, which allows us  to swim from early spring to late September and provides an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. The weather is perfect for holidays by the sea and there are many reasons to rent a house here, cottage, apartment or room and enjoy a wonderful holiday atmosphere. Cheap holidays by the sea is a dream feasible in Middle Dalmatia. In the summer the temperature maximum is about 33 ° C. However, in winter, the temperature rarely falls below 5 ° C.

Beaches in Middle Dalmatia:
Middle Dalmatia is dominated by beautiful pebble and rocky beaches, but very often you also come across sandy beaches. There are also a lot of beaches for naturists. On the island of Brać is a beautiful beach Zlatni Rat, which is a favourite resting place for families with children. It should also be mentioned gravel, very large Okrug Beach on the island of Ciovo, which due to its length (approximately 2 km), commonly called the Copacabana.

Interesting places in Middle Dalmatia:
Middle Dalmatia is one of the most visited parts of Croatia. The stay in Croatia is not only full of resting on the beach but it is also the opportunity to practice various kinds of water sports or explore the historic towns that lie wonderful sights. The largest and most visited city is Split (the second largest city of Croatia). The city boasts the remains of the Roman Diocletian's Palace which was built by the Emperor Diocletian in the early fourth century. It is on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Every year many tourists come here from different parts of the world who rave about the monuments and architecture of the city. Split has a large outflow port from to which ferries to Italy and the islands of Hvar, Solta and Brac depart.

Adriatic Sea coast line lays the historic city Trogir with the beautiful medieval old town. The old town of Trogir is a perfect example of medieval urban layout. Installation is compact and narrow and has winding streets. The scenic picture is completed by the remains of mighty defensive walls and wide, palm-lined promenade, where cruise ships dock and luxury boats. Old town of Trogir is entered on the list of World Cultural and Natural Heritage since 1997.
